[Bug 271701] Re: Gnome logoff menue misses entries
These options are covered by the fast user switch applet. Click it, and they drop down. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New = Invalid -- Gnome logoff menue misses entries https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271701 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 271701] Re: Gnome logoff menue misses entries
Now I need two buttons in my panel (logoff and shutdown) to do the job of the old button in Hardy. -- Gnome logoff menue misses entries https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271701 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 271701] Re: Gnome logoff menue misses entries
With some facelifting, #272601 resembles what I intened to report. So can this legitimately be marked as a duplicate? -- Gnome logoff menue misses entries https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271701 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 271701] Re: Gnome logoff menue misses entries
bug 272601 has already been filed about the fact that the Logout button wasn't removed by default when the FUSA was updated. The Logout button isn't supposed to be there anymore, just the FUSA. -- Gnome logoff menue misses entries https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271701 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 271701] Re: Gnome logoff menue misses entries
Those options are available in the System menu, right. I took my time thinking about it before opening a new Bug. My point is: Either the button on the Panel gives Access to ALL Options concerning logon, user switching and machine shutdown or we remove unneccessary Trash off the Gnome Panel, that would then mean that the whole Button is removed. The current setup is inconsequent regarding this. In addition, when using Ubuntu as a Desktop, one needs Shutdown, Suspend-to-Disk and Hibernate more often than Switch-User, so it would be more user-friendly to get those options with fewer clicks. -- Gnome logoff menue misses entries https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271701 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 271701] Re: Gnome logoff menue misses entries
If you do SystemShut Down... you get those options. If you click on the logoff (top right) you get fewer options. Please confirm that this is correct. [Bug 271701] Re: Gnome logoff menue misses entries
I'd consider this design decision a bug, though. Those other options are now in System *and* the fast-user-switcher, which clutters the fast- user-switcher too much. This also means that setting the power button to ask me in g-p-m results in only options to logout/switch user...which is very much not what users expect when hitting the power button. We expect options related to power usage, like shutting down, suspending, and hibernating. -- Gnome logoff menue misses entries https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271701 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
