Removing and adding the kernel module (for me cdc_ether as I don't use my Broadcom for the Internet connection but I use a cell phone) doesn't run for me. I see this same problem with a newly upgraded Ibex, but with both the wired and wireless connections. Even attempting to run wpa_supplicant by hand on the command line won't work. I too tested this issue in my acert laptop (08:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetLink BCM5787M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express (rev 02). The bug happens at around 1/3 of the suspends/resumes and if I do ifconfig I only see the "lo" interface. If I connect my cell-phone with a usb cable to start my gprs Internet connection, nm-applet doesn't do anything and the usb0 interface doesn't appear. If I do ifconfig usb0 usb0 appears but with no ip (nm-applet still remains in network disabled state). Removing and adding the kernel module (for me cdc_ether as I don't use my Broadcom for the Internet connection but I use a cell phone) doesn't run for me. I see this same problem with a newly upgraded Ibex, but with both the wired and wireless connections. Even attempting to run wpa_supplicant by hand on the command line won't work. I too tested this issue in my acert laptop (08:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetLink BCM5787M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express (rev 02). The bug happens at around 1/3 of the suspends/resumes and if I do ifconfig I only see the "lo" interface. If I connect my cell-phone with a usb cable to start my gprs Internet connection, nm-applet doesn't do anything and the usb0 interface doesn't appear. If I do ifconfig usb0 usb0 appears but with no ip (nm-applet still remains in network disabled state). I too tested this issue in my acert laptop (08:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetLink BCM5787M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express (rev 02). The bug happens at around 1/3 of the suspends/resumes and if I do ifconfig I only see the "lo" interface. If I connect my cell-phone with a usb cable to start my gprs Internet connection, nm-applet doesn't do anything and the usb0 interface doesn't appear. If I do ifconfig usb0 usb0 appears but with no ip (nm-applet still remains in network disabled state). I see this same problem with a newly upgraded Ibex, but with both the wired and wireless connections. Even attempting to run wpa_supplicant by hand on the command line won't work.
