I switched to gdm completely some month ago, so can not send you additional
bug info.

[Bug 295497] Re: Alt+Ctrl+F1-F12 not working in Intrepid

2009-01-22 Thread auquicu
I had almost added a comment about the failure of Ctrl/Alt/F1, but
trying xev I see that the function keys on the new keyboard of this new
machine of mine do not work at all, and then that there is a switch on
the left to enable them. Now all is well. Just adding this as a hint to
others - perhaps Ubuntu is fine but the keyboard is unusual.

I find out that i use kdm as a default display manager. kdm is not switching
to console.
But after change default to gdm - i can use console, but at second time. At
first time it automatically swithes to X-server (7-console)

 Hi vodarus,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your
/var/log/Xorg.0.log file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made
any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

May be i should upgrade this file with sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh
xserver-xorg?

Did not help, also create configuration without anything - Xorg can not work
well with that config.
Reverting configuration to previous one.
