[Bug 295824] Re: GNOMEtris Sound stops functioning
I can confirm this behaviour. It isn't caused by a pulseaudio crash since pa is still running and working after GNOMEtris lost it's sound. I don't know what goes wrong when this happens, but it seems to cause other weird things. I am using mail-notification, a small program that runs in the background and displays a notification when I have new mails. It stores the password for my pop3-account using the gnome mechanisms (gnome-keyring-deamon I think), so it can access it automatically. And now what's weird: When I had sound enabled in GNOMEtris and it stopped working, a short time later mail-notification opens a dialog that tells me that it couldn't access the saved password and I had to enter it manually. I have seen this behaviour of mail-notification _only_ when I had started GNOMEtris with sound and sound stopped working like described in this report. But I don't know what happens there, maybe someone who has a deeper knowledge of the involved internal gnome technologies has an idea? To gain at least a little bit of debug informations, i ran GNOMEtris in a terminal, it didn't print any informations when the sound dissappeared, but it spit out a lot gstreamer error messages while the sound was stil working: - j...@speedy2008:~$ gnometris (gnometris:29884): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: Trying to dispose element test, but it is not in the NULL state. Thank you for the follow-up. Yes, it is still an issue for me. I do not know if there is a new release that fixed this issue. I am using Ubuntu Intrepid and I do not see any change. Thanks for your answer. This is the output I get when running the command: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ pulseaudio -k W: ltdl-bind-now.c: Failed to find original dlopen loader.
