This sounds like it *might* be another variation on #269872 Is this consistently reproducible? Does it occur in Transmission sessions when the Preferences and Details dialogs have not been opened? As an aside, I've needed to make a recording like that once or twice. I've updated ~ 50 packages (nothing related to transmission, but kernel 2.6.27-10) and I can't reproduce the bug now :( Before update it occurred every time unconditionally when I switched to minimal mode. When I was trying to find something suspicious via strace output, I saw only error like read(3, 0x989dbd4, 4096)= -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) (I frequently see this error when stracing other applications, so probably it's not related to the issue) btw, when the bug occurred text 3 of 27 Torrents in status bar was truncated to something like 3 of 27 Torre.
