[Bug 305437] Re: Nautilus won't mount floppy disks
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Two common reasons for the error "mount:/dev/fd0 is not a valid block device." are: 1) The floppy is defective or corrupt. 2) Trying to mount the drive while it's empty (no disk in it). Once you're sure those are not the problem, 3) Please run the command "gnome-mount -v -b -d /dev/fd0" and attach (don't paste) the output to this bug report. 4) Please run the command "dmesg > dmesg.log" after a fresh boot and attach (don't paste) the resulting file "dmesg.log" to this bug report. Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- Nautilus won't mount floppy disks https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305437 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
