[Bug 316962] [NEW] Ubuntu 9.04 (Alpha 2) Alternate CD does not recognise my RAID partition

2009-01-13 Thread Paul Weiss
Public bug reported:

I just tried the Ubuntu 9.04 Alpha 2 Alternate CD and it did not
recognise my RAID partition. Ubuntu 8.10 had no problem recognising my
RAID partition. I'd like to add that when I tried upgrading dmraid to
1.0.0.rc15 in Ubuntu 8.10, my system wouldn't boot - I had to downgrade
back to 1.0.0.rc14 using the Live CD. My RAID is based on the Intel
ICH9R chipset.

** Affects: dmraid (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

Re: [Bug 316962] [NEW] Ubuntu 9.04 (Alpha 2) Alternate CD does not recognise my RAID partition

2009-01-13 Thread Luke Yelavich
SOme issues have been found with dmraid since the last alpha release,
alpha 2. These issues are hopefully fixed by an update that was recently
made to the dmraid package, in addition, there is a new alpha release
due out this Thursday, so if you could please wait and try the alternate
CD for that alpha release and let me know how you go, that would be
appreciated.

Thanks.
