[Bug 331641] Re: Open Office 3 cant run thesaurus from toobar or shortcut,

2010-01-20 Thread Scott McDonald
I believe my problem is similar, but would like to add a new twist:

The thesaurus feature is available when the cursor is in some locations,
but not available in other locations on a document. There doesn't seem
to be any reason for this, but as I move randomly throughout the
document, the thesaurus feature is accessible.

I will be happy to provide any information necessary to resolve this
issue.

Thank you,
Scott

You may want to make sure you have the thesaurus for your language
installed. You can verify this under Tools-Options-Language
 Settings-Writing Aids-OpenOffice.org New Thesaurus-Edit Then check
your language to verify it shows as installed for it.

Chris,

Many thanks.
Checked Tools-Options-Language
Settings-Writing Aids-OpenOffice.org New Thesaurus-Edit

Shows installed but still not accessible from Tools-Language-Thesaurus
Shows as greyed out

Perhaps I should reload and see if that cures the problem.

Many thanks

Andrew

Moving/removing the ~/.openoffice.org* directories might help but other
than that I am not sure what would be the problem if the thesaurus is
installed.

Tools-Language-Thesaurus works for me, I don't know where the other
place that you mentioned is located.

You may want to make sure you have the thesaurus for your language
installed. You can verify this under Tools-Options-Language
Settings-Writing Aids-OpenOffice.org New Thesaurus-Edit Then check
your language to verify it shows as installed for it.
