It seems this problem even exists with a 2.6.29 kernel, so it hasn't yet been fixed upstream. Unfortunately my knowledge of kernel internals is non-existant, so I don't know how to fix this myself. However I will try and see if there has been a kernel bug filed, and if not, I will file one and try and give as much info as I can. Thanks for your patience while I attempt to get this resolved. [Bug 349729] [NEW] hibernate/resume failure on iBook G4
Public bug reported: On my iBook standby works but i cannot hibernate. The suspend/hibernate test doesn't work because there is no method to automaticaly resume. I have access to an iBook 12 G4 1.33GHz here, with ATI Radeon 9250 graphics chip.
