I am using VLC media player 1.0.0 . The settings for the sound equalizer and video effects ,.. etc do not stay after closing the player, so I have to set them every time I play a movie. I've found out what's caused the blank presets. Its the moomex theme. It's odd as the moomex theme worked with vlc on Intrepid. Here's a link to that theme: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Moomex-Theme?content=57063 I've just tried another theme from that site namely 'Murrina dark waters' just to test that its not all themes and the vlc presets are visible, however I've just tested all the Jaunty built in themes and found that the Darkroom theme causes a problem viewing the vlc presets where they are barely visible. The Human theme causes problems too where there is a blue background and black lettering when you view the vlc presets, you can see the presets but its not that easy. However I can confirm the the tick on the graphic eq does not stay ticked when vlc changes to a different song. If I move down the box I get the presets but they are still blind, ie. there's nothing there thats visible. I'm using a nvidia gt9500 pci express graphics card and the 180 drivers. This issue is present when compiz is on or off. I'd show a screen print but thats stopped working so I've taken a screen pic with my digital camera. Also I've noticed that the tick on the graphic equalizer option suddenly goes after the end of each song so you have to keep on turning the graphic equalizer on after each track.
