using evolution 2.32.2 (with MAPI plugin -- for Exchange server 2003) I have set evolution to send out HTML encoded emails. It will send them fine to internal recipients that use the same server. However, when sent to others externally, it appears to have sent it in plaintext. thus it messes with my signature. Is there a fix? I'm seeing the same thing. For me about 80% of the time emails get stuck forever in the local Outbox folder under the following conditions: - Accessing an Exchange account via the mapi plugin. - Forwarding or replying to an existing email (not creating a new email). - HTML format. Workarounds: If I edit the stuck email in the Outbox and remove everything but my reply (e.g. all the forwarded content) it will be sent successfully. Alternatively, if I edit the email and change the format to Plain Text it will be sent. This is the most problematic issue for day-to-day use of the mapi plugin for real work. I can confirm the MAPI mail not being sent in HTML format to users in same email domain error. I am using Evolution 2.28.1 in Ubuntu Karmic Koala. I have been experiencing issues with sending emails in HTML format to other users inside my corporation's domain. I changed the composer option to not format the message in HTML, and I was able to send emails. There is some distortion in the messages being sent though. I am having no other problems with the MAPI plugin though. I can access my Global Address Book, tasks, calendar, etc. Just sending email is an issue. Any idea what could be causing this, or how to fix it? I don't know if my problem is related -- I've configured Evolution for imap, and smtp to send mail. I find that if I send email soon after connecting to my Red Hat linux email server, I don't have any problems. But if I read email for a while, move to various imap folders, etc. -- then, send an email -- it remains stuck in the outbox. I have to exit Evolution and restart it -- then, I reopen any of the N emails in the outbox and resend, and they all go. (Note: This trick does not work until I exit and restart.) Sometimes I can't exit Evolution -- it hangs. Then I have to kill it via the System Monitor. I'm running Evolution 2.28.1 under ubuntu 9.10. Ok. Same here. Any chance this might get fixed? It's getting hard to track my own messages. Is it data corruption or code problem? Why happened so sudenly (last sent message registered 2 months ago)? How has my Microsoft Oulook been working for so many years withou any problem? I'm starting to hate Linux and all its partially reliable software... I am seeing the same problem. When I send mail they get through but end up stuck in the outbox (no copy in Sent Items). I have done a bit more work on this and it appears that the To: field in the email is left blank because a call to exhange_mapi_util_modify_recpients fails returning with MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED(0x80004005) and submitting the message ecInvalidRecips(0x467). This appears to be only a problem for recipients within the email domain - not external recipients. That seems to work. I have tried describing the local recipients email in different ways (fully qualified, local name, excluding the domain suffix etc) but with no success. I havent been able to get my Global Address List working (setting the correct source appears to do nothing) so this may have some influence on the problem. I am able to switch between my and flashydaves problem by turning on and off HTML encoding when sending. I get my kind of problem (i.e. stuck in outbox) when HTML encoding is disabled and flashydaves problem when HTML encoding is enabled. I can not test sending to external recipients. Not sure if this is the same bug but I'm seeing the Outbox not getting flushed and then ANY future attempts to read mail (e.g. deleting or retrieving mail content from the server) using evolution fail. However it does appear that the mail is sent to the recipient. Launching MS's outlook client shows the mail still being stuck in the Outbox on the exchange server. All attempts to clear it fail - the only recourse being to delete it using MS Outlook. Attempts to restart evolution (unless you leave it for a period of time - 20 mins or so - leave you with the same problem. Currently it renders the plugin useless for production use.
