Changing the line gtk-menu-popup-delay = 0 to gtk-menu-popup-delay = 1 in the gtkrc file of whatever theme you use fixes this bug, but it's more of a workaround since the bug still exists. It can be fixed by changing this line gtk-menu-popup-delay = 0 to gtk-menu-popup-delay = 1 in the gtkrc file of whatever theme you use.
