[Bug 369794] Re: VPN manager fails to Import VPN configuration file (VPNC)
I have the same issue, but to difficult things a bit, the popup error notification windows does not show the conf filename, it shows the following: -- The file '\UO' could not be read or does not contain recognized VPN connection information Error: does not look like a Cisco Compatible VPN (vpnc) VPN connection -- but with the scape codes formatted to current charset. I've been trying to copy the file, renaming it, cheking content for 32 char codes. And all it's ok. Opening the VPN connection with vpnc-connect from command line runs fine. [Bug 369794] Re: VPN manager fails to Import VPN configuration file (VPNC)
First, sorry for the double - May be my report differs from the initial problem mentioned and needs a separate entry, but it seems there's something wrong with the file parsing. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #590054 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=590054 ** Also affects: network-manager via http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=590054 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- VPN manager fails to Import VPN configuration file (VPNC) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369794 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 369794] Re: VPN manager fails to Import VPN configuration file (VPNC)
Same problem here. Further more, at first when I tried to import the file, it threw an error stating that it wasn't a recognized pptp file. So I uninstalled pptp network manager, restart nm-applet, and then threw this same error: Error: does not look like a Cisco Compatible VPN (vpnc) VPN connection (parse failed). I think the Import option is not trying to recognize every possible VPN type profile too. -- VPN manager fails to Import VPN configuration file (VPNC) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369794 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
