I found that both inverse and forward search for pdf work for kile+okular on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid. In the Configure kile setting, for Build option one needs to choose "modern" configuration for pdflatex. Then on pdf file just click Shift+Left mouse button. I think this advance will eliminate my need for dvi. Hi I was very surprised to see the inverse search for pdf working with okular and kile in kubuntu 9.10. necessarily I need to say; great job I hate to use dvi because only support 1 graphics format and with pdf you can have almos twhatever you want. Unfortunately, I can't get to work forward search with pdf, Is there any way to do that with kile or isn't implemented yet? I hope is there, but if not, I think it will be there at any moment... Thank you, this is nice but there's still a huge problem: --unique is not working as an okular command line switch defeating usage of this new feature; each time I use "forwardDVI" a new instance of okular is launched. I hope I can help you fixing this glitch very soon as okular has become really fast and nice for dvi. The current version of kile and the version of okular from kde 4.3 beta2 can work together using forwardDVI. okular is part of kdegraphics, so that is where the bug should go.
