[Bug 427953] Re: unable to setup evolution, no 'apply' button

2009-11-15 Thread Scott Brown
Sorry i should mention - mine is that when i open the setup assistant -
the very first page the forward button works, on the second screen
(import backup) forward is greyed out - if i tick the Restore checkbox -
the forward button changes to apply and then if i untick it changes back
to forward and i can press it, but then on the next screen forward is
greyed out and i can't get past it

[Bug 427953] Re: unable to setup evolution, no 'apply' button

2009-09-16 Thread Evan Otway
I solved this problem in my evolution app by Udating the evolution
Install with Synaptic Package Manager. I am running Alpha 5. Once the
update was executed the problem of the Missing Apply button in
Evolution application was solved. I can now add mail accounts and save
the settings etc.

[Bug 427953] Re: unable to setup evolution, no 'apply' button

2009-09-14 Thread Harald Solheim
I fail to see how this can bug can be of medium importance. It renders
evolution completely useless on initial setup. At
https://dev.launchpad.net/BugTriage a criterion for a bug being of
critical importance is that The feature is needed to encourage
adoption or prevent abandonment of the project. Being able to do an
initial set-up of Evolution must certainly be needed to encourage
adoption of the program.

why do people always feel they have to argue about settings? the bug has
been milestoned for alpha6 which is due this week and will be fixed
today or tomorrow, is that worth discussing settings?
