[Bug 458737] Re: No Sound or outputs M-Audio Delta 44 ICE1712

2009-12-07 Thread Alice
Hi Guys!!

Excuse my poor English.

After days trying everything to solve my problem with a Delta 1010LT
audio, I got the solution:

Decided

As if it was useful to someone (I hope), my problem was solved by
Hispasonic-Guitman on from here my heartfelt gratitude

The solution has been to uninstall all that smell to pulseaudio.

As simple... WORK !!

Again, Thanks Guitman.

[Bug 458737] Re: No Sound or outputs M-Audio Delta 44 ICE1712

2009-11-08 Thread dednikko
Okay i have some more news to report. I installed ubuntu studio 9.10 and
can now add that while almost no applications get sound, jack based
applications do. i am running ardour gtk and while the sound and
effects all function, some of the important features do not. the mute
button no longer functions at all, even though ardour shows that there
are no levels in any track or bus, i can still hear the audio loud and
clear. kudos to ardour for having the ONE functioning application. still
not fully functional, no youtube sound, no rhythmbox sound. i might
install amarok and see if the kde apps just work, or if i need to
rebuild kubuntu with a realtime kernel to get full audio functionality.

I would like to thank skilledwolf for helping get the audio I do have up
and running. I normally just use the per application mixers, so thank
you very much for your help, and yes, your English is very clear and
comprehensible.

I went ahead and installed KK and tried as you said, no luck. Is there a
tool to switch drivers in ubuntu so that i can manually select the
ICE1712 driver that was working for me in JJ?

I can confirm this with Delta 66. Kubuntu 9.10 AMD64 RC works just fine
- Ubuntu 9.10 AMD64 RC - no sound at all.

[Bug 458737] Re: No Sound or outputs M-Audio Delta 44 ICE1712

2009-10-26 Thread dednikko
Any success in getting the M-audio Delta 44, 66, or 1010 sound cards to
function? In Jaunty the kernel recognizes the card and assigns the
ICE1712 driver which works great. In Karmic, It assign the IEC 958
driver, which shows a single input and uses a null output,IE songs will
appear to play back, with no sound. I am really missing the graphical
sound test scheme on the volume control properties page now, as in the
past it would allow you to switch between PullseAudio, OSS, and ALSA,
and ALSA s what i am used to using, but now i can't even figure out how
to make sure it defaulted to ALSA. Ergh.

[Bug 458737] Re: No Sound or outputs M-Audio Delta 44 ICE1712

2009-10-24 Thread dednikko
Okay i have some more details that may help. In Kubuntu 9.10, i had
success in getting audio playback with no issues, both online flash
video with audio and .wav format audio files. Fedora 11 worked fine
(also gave me a popup letting me know my old hdd is on it's last legs
which was helpful) but the fedora 12 beta seems to be lacking the proper
driver support as well, so maybe it's a kernel issue? is kubuntu using
any legacy kernel bits to keep KDE compatibility? Entirely conjecture
there, but if so that might explain why it's handling the audio
correctly...
