[Bug 461084] Re: int mic stops functioning after selecting input only from duplex

2010-04-18 Thread nick TS
on the latest build 10.4 I have no sound playing on videos or on boot.
This was temporarily resolved with an upgrade of memory to 2gb on 9.10,
however returned when I updated to 10.4 yesterday.

[Bug 461084] Re: int mic stops functioning after selecting input only from duplex

2010-03-26 Thread Brad Figg
Hi nick,

Please, if you are still having issues, test with the latest development
release of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a
Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically
gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p alsa-base 461084

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the
issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds .

Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-
upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil
icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and
deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text.

Please let us know your results.

[This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

Re: [Bug 461084] Re: int mic stops functioning after selecting input only from duplex

2009-10-26 Thread nick TS
I am able to select either of the tabs, however it makes no difference to
the sound - i loose the mic and the audio playback, a reboot brings back the
playback but either starts at mute or no sound. if it starts at mute the
mic will usually initiate and the bars will move with a sound, however loose
the mic and playback if I attempt to adjust the input tab from duplex

What happens if you select an output + input profile, or do you not have
that option?
