[Bug 563641] Re: gnome-volume-control-applet shows humanity icon instead of mono

2010-06-19 Thread mitch
I was experiencing this bug in Karmic (incorrectly themed volume icon in
the Indicator Applet). I was finally able to resolve the issue by
simply removing both the Indicator Applet Session 0.3.7 and the
Indicator Applet 0.3.7 and then adding them back. Removing just the
Indicator Applet and adding it back did not fix.

[Bug 563641] Re: gnome-volume-control-applet shows humanity icon instead of mono

2010-05-25 Thread androith
I am running Lucid and the gnome-volume-control-applet is different from
the rest of my theme. The theme I am using is

Icons: Humanity (although it's still mismatched with all Human* icon sets)
Controls: Human-Clearlooks
Window Border: Sorbet

I wish I knew where to change the icon. Screenshot cropped and attached.

[Bug 563641] Re: gnome-volume-control-applet shows humanity icon instead of mono

2010-05-01 Thread Jens Janssen
I get a additional applet with wrong icon when I open Sound
Preferences. After closing Sound Preferences, the volume applet with
wrong icon stays in the panel. So there are two sound applets with
different icons in the panel now (see attached picture). The applet goes
away after restart.

(fresh lucid final install)

2010-04-29 Thread nicolas kleinklaus
Why did you removed the extra 24px audio icons in version 0.0.17 ??
Everthing was working perfectly before doing this. With the volume
applet AND the indicator applet …

[Bug 563641] Re: gnome-volume-control-applet shows humanity icon instead of mono

2010-04-16 Thread Vish
Looks like you are not using the indicator-applet ?
The icon is supposed to be used only in the panel. The indicator applet uses
the monochrome icons , since it detects the icons with *-panel names.

If you are using the icons in earlier versions than Lucid , in Karmic ,
you will notices such problem , the applet needs to be fixed to use the
-panel icons

Thank you for your bug report, what ubuntu version do you use and what
theme? is the volume applet the one with the vertical slider or the new
indicator?

[Bug 563641] Re: gnome-volume-control-applet shows humanity icon instead of mono

2010-04-16 Thread Vish
Sebastien Bacher , this would actually be a wishlist bug. The reporters have
probably downloaded the ubuntu-mono package and are using it in Karmic.
gnome-media uses the non -panel icon names still , we removed the volume icons
which didnt use *-panel name from ubuntu-mono so that the icons dont show up in
the apps[RB, totem] or the sound preferences window.

This was the intended behavior, the ubuntu-mono icons are to be used only in
the panel and the Humanity icons elsewehere.
Currently only the volume indicator uses the -panel names and will work only in
Lucid
