The version of the installer present in Kubuntu 6.06.1 deals with this more gracefully. I think this error is related somehow to qtparted. The reason why I think that is this: when qtparted is started and when I click on the disk (/dev/sda), qtparted tries to read partition info (ntfs,xfs,xfs,fat32,ntfs) and then crashes.
