Hi! I now understand what you are talking about, but this new request is a wontfix. The initial problem was clearly an issue when not enough space was allocated for locale-dependent dates. Now, however, you get what strftime gives you. We can't interfere with this for each and every language. If you want perfect alignment, adjust your masks for strftime. Months short name of date command and of mc has changed and are too long so the alignment is broken. I think that a single truncating operation to 3 characters would be good. But to distinguish june (juin in french) and july (juillet), a transform to jun for juin and jul for july is needed. Another alternative is to simply truncate to 4 characters with a new space for may (mai). At your choice. Thank you. Thank you, Yury. I tried this update. Now the dates appear fully. Just the alignment is not perfect because the French months name in mc are with various sizes, it is not very nice. But the important is that the dates are well readable.
