For some unexplained reason, all is working just fine now. My screensaver is working with ClamTK installed. I do appreciate everyone that has tried to help this forum as well. ClamTk should have no impact on the screensaver and I am unable to duplicate this problem. I have both Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 in virtual machines, and the screensaver works fine with ClamTk installed. I'm happy to help, but I'm not an Ubuntu expert - so if anyone out there wants to help diagnose this problem, that'd be great. Robert, can you open a terminal window and type clamtk (no quotes) and tell me if any error messages pop up? Dave, I am sending this file to you (Untitled 1.odt) (Open Office Writer). It is the read out in the Terminal Window after I entered ps -ef, no quotation marks. I wouldn't recognize anything wierd. I am just a beginner with Ubuntu 10.10 this being my 1st GNU/Linux OS. After I entered clamtk The virus scanner window appeared on the screen. Scott, Thank you for your immediate response. I installed Ubuntu 10.10 32-bit inside Windows XP Pro. After I reported my problem to bug report, I reinstalled ClamTK and rebooted. For some reason the screensaver is now working but in slow motion. I also updated ClamTK. However it had been 2 weeks that my screensaver did not work until I uninstalled the virus scanner, then it began working again. I am not a technical person and this is the first exposure I have had to a GNU/Linux OS. So I leave it to you.
