[Bug 71118] Re: Crash on Export

2006-12-03 Thread Tom Gillam
I tried installing the Fesity package on the off-chance it might work on
Edgy, however there are failed dependencies. I don't want to upgrade to
Feisty until it is stable!

I extracted the .deb file manually, however, and it seems to work
alright. The bug (crash on export) is fixed in 0.6-3.

[Bug 71118] Re: Crash on Export

2006-12-01 Thread Tom Gillam
Yes, libc6-dev is installed (latest version). I compiled by creating a
symolic link called Makefile to Makefile.linux, and then running make.

[Bug 71118] Re: Crash on Export

2006-11-28 Thread Daniel Leidert
libc6-dev is installed? implicit declaration of function ´setlocale´
sounds like a missing libc6-dev. How did you compile? Using dpkg-
buildpackage/debuild or just make? easychem built fine on all
architectures in Debian Sid. No FTBFS.

[Bug 71118] Re: Crash on Export

2006-11-24 Thread Tom Gillam
Sorry about that, I see now. I've tried downloading the 0.6-3 patch and
applying it to the source, but now it fails to compile, giving me the
error:

bonds.c: In function ‘save_list_bonds’:
bonds.c:1518: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘setlocale’
bonds.c:1518: error: ‘LC_NUMERIC’ undeclared (first use in this function)
bonds.c:1518: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
bonds.c:1518: error: for each function it appears in.)
bonds.c: In function ‘load_list_bonds’:
bonds.c:1600: error: ‘LC_NUMERIC’ undeclared (first use in this function)
make: *** [bonds.o] Error 1

The program compiled fine before applying the patches.

2006-11-16 Thread Daniel Leidert
No, I think it is a different bug. The bug you linked to above implies the
 user
actually sees the export dialog box :-

No. Read the rest of the bug-report. The first part is about a
segmentation fault (AFAIK before the window pops up). But the second
part is about the freeze (and completely sounds similar to what you
reported). Both things should be fixed with 0.6-3. Check this version
(you can get it from the Debian archives and rebuild it, if you don't
want to wait until it has been synced from Debian). Soes this update
solve your problem?

No, I think it is a different bug. The bug you linked to above implies
the user actually sees the export dialog box :-

EasyChem crashes without warning after selecting a filename for the
exported file and clicking 'OK'

However for me EasyChem crashes before showing the export dialog box.

Also, the bug does not appear if pstoedit is not installed. (Installing
this package breaks the export function).

This has been already reported via Debian BTS http://bugs.debian.org
/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=380210. The fix will be released to Debian
soon. Then it should be easy to synch the fixed package from Debian.
