I've been using the app recently and it seems fine now. Either the
package itself has been fixed or libraries that it used that may have
been causing the issue have been updated so either way it appears to be
fixed now.

I can confirm this, I was trying to use it earlier and it's just...
buggy as hell. It crashes almost at random (if you try and do anything)
and one time actually took down Gnome-Panel with it. This isn't specific
to Ubuntu though, it acted the same on Gentoo, I think it may just be a
really badly coded app. I recommend using KGet in the meantime, works
great (seems to have a few more features too which is nice).

Today is bad day for me.. and Gwget.
When try to start program,Gwget  started to open new window 
...again...and...again (see screenshot).
First try to make screenshot of this end up with gnome-panel-screenshot crash 
(i make other report for this).
