[Bug 716311] Re: flash not installed

2011-06-09 Thread Elsevier
I have the same problem and it still exists.

It can be solved by purging the flashplugin-* directories and
reinstalling flash by either using the additional packages available
dialogue when opening reqonk, or using apt-get.

Running updated Kubuntu 11.04_64 KDE 4.6.3.

Would be nice to get this problem solved. Makes updating your system
using KPackageKit for newbies VERY annoying.

Regards

[Bug 716311] Re: flash not installed

2011-05-21 Thread Taras Puchko
I can reproduce on Kubuntu amd64 11.04 the problem themroc has.

I have flash installed using apt-get, but updating using KPackageKit just
removes the plugin. Reinstalling using KPackageKit doesn't help, but apt-get
does work.

2011-02-11 Thread Jonathan Riddell
I think I managed to recreate this once, the flash tar wasn't downloaded
and so didn't install. Unfortunately I don't think packagekit does
output logging by default. killing and running
/usr/lib/packagekit/packagekitd (as root) gives output but I haven't
been able to recreate it since, the tar has downloaded and installed
fine

The Flash plugin is NOT installed.
Parent finished...

I think the sizes didn't match is a separate issue, that happens
regardless of whether the tar downloads or not

But why it should be looking for host address \002 is a mystery
