I will also observe that going to this page to add the comment I just did, I clicked the 'Post Comment' button and nothing happened after several tries. In a new Midori session, bookmarks are now sorted correctly. The reverse sorting I observed (as described in my previous comment) occurred in the session in which I did the import. well, it's now April 19, 2014 and I just decided to try Midori after a long hiatus. I imported my bookmarks from Firefox and in the bookmarks panel, they are sorted in reverse order. I have a similar problem, where the bookmarks are sorted in reverse alphabetical order in the Bookmarks menu, but are OK (i.e. alphabetically sorted) in the left pane (F9). I've noticed that midori adds an unicode character (202a IIRC) before the title, so imported bookmarks that lack this character may destroy the alphabetical ordering (straight or reverse). There is a workaround for this problem, i.e. change title DESC into title ASC in midori/midori-array.c. With this the bookmarks are sorted in straight alphabetical order in the Bookmarks menu, but are in reverse order in the left pane. The query code is unified in midori_array_query now, so the sorting is consistent. However sqlite doesn't produce alphabetic order.
