[Bug 730021] Re: launchpad is somehow no longer my default browser after using dophin.
seems rather a local configuration issue, launchpad is a internet site not something you can run on your computer, seems you right click on a directory and selected to open those with a different soft and asked for it to be default ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/730021 Title: launchpad is somehow no longer my default browser after using dophin. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions: * Is this reproducible? * If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug? This will help us to find and resolve the problem. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/730021 Title: launchpad is somehow no longer my default browser after using dophin. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 730021] Re: launchpad is somehow no longer my default browser after using dophin.
Thank you for your prompt reaction. I am sorry but I have not the slightest idea how this problem arose. To my mind it started after trying the Dolphin file manager. I have been uninstalling Openoffice 3.2 English version and installing Openoffice 3.3. NL version. some steps were taken by copying command lines from an ubuntu forum to the terminal. But I can not imagine how all this could have caused the problem in question. Fact is that when I uninstall Dolphin there is no file manager associated with for example place-documents. The only thing you see is the little wheel turning for 1/2 a minute, but no file manager will open. Whereas when clicking Places-Computer the Launch pad will open correctly. Is there an easy way to repair the launchpad?
