*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 751175 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/751175 i have the same issue: when attempted to run from GUI, Evolution comes up and wants to get set up. when run from terminal: (indicator-datetime-preferences:2808): Unique-DBus-WARNING **: Error while sending message: Did not receive a reply. the video and log files aren't that helpful unfortunately. I've looked through the code and don't believe this is related to evolution. All that evolution changes in the code is whether or not the show events tick box is active. Karl, I don't see the issue no more, now it always open the preferences applet correctly. Strange thing I haven't done any updates or manually change. I've tried to do some reboot, tried to launch it from terminal and directly from indicator-datetime menu, it works well.
