the problem has been solved for firefox, chrome opera by installing the addon: Flash Aid using the wizard with all options set by default. (in my case, it installed Adobe's Beta version). The add-on removes conflicting flash players (in my case gnash something else i dont even remember anymore) installs the appropriate one. Good luck for the rest.
