2012-06-06 Thread Timo Aaltonen
Please test with 12.04 which has a new library (libwacom) which gnome-
settings-daemon uses for figuring out corner cases like these.

[Bug 846509] Re: Bamboo Fun Mouse using absolute positioning instead of relative

2011-11-08 Thread Bryce Harrington
Hey ismise,

Hi, thanks for reporting this issue during the development period of
Ubuntu.

I notice there's not been further comments to the bug report since the
release came out, would you mind updating us on the status of it in the
release?

Are you still able to reproduce the issue? If not, do you think the bug
report can be closed, or do you think we should continue tracking it?

[Bug 846509] Re: Bamboo Fun Mouse using absolute positioning instead of relative

2011-11-08 Thread Jay Ó Broin
I'm still using the same Oneiric install, upgraded to the Release
version. Checking with dconf-editor, the default value of org/gnome
/settings-daemon/peripherals/wacom/cursor/is-absolute is still true, and
setting it to the default causes the problem again. So yes, I'd say the
problem is still there.

2011-10-19 Thread Leandro Simonetti
Thank you S MUCH for that workaround!

I agree that it should be set to false by default. Next would be adding
a GUI for the pointer under the Wacom Settings.

THANKS!

[Bug 846509] Re: Bamboo Fun Mouse using absolute positioning instead of relative

2011-09-16 Thread Timo Aaltonen
I'm confused.. wacom should use absolute by default; when you point the
pen to a location on the tablet the cursor will jump to that location on
the screen, right? Touchpads (and mice, obviously) are relative.

Yes, the pen should be absolute by default, but the Bamboo Fun also
comes with a mouse (called cursor in the settings), and this should be
set to relative

[Bug 846509] Re: Bamboo Fun Mouse using absolute positioning instead of relative

2011-09-10 Thread J . Ó Broin
I've found a workaround for this: Using dconf-editor, set org/gnome
/settings-daemon/peripherals/wacom/cursor/is-absolute to false.

Shouldn't false be the default for this key?
