Please fix this. This is a major annoyance if you're using an Ubuntu system to develop packages for Debian. I maintain some packages in Debian as well as in a repository as part of sysadmining, and I'm not affiliated with Ubuntu, so my debian/changelog lines shouldn't be saying ubuntu anything. The attached patch allows one to override the distributor ID from lsb_release, since the distro I'm running on may not be the one I'm working on. With this change, one then says: dch --distributor=Debian ... to get Debian's behavior. The default remains whatever distributor's OS you're running on, which I believe is the right answer.
