Thanks for testing Sergey. Which upstream kernel/s did you test?

Joseph - can you bisect and build him some test kernels? (I don't have
the expertise to do so).

2011-10-13 Thread madbiologist
Thanks. From that output we can see that you have an Arrandale
processor with Ironlake graphics. I've reassigned this bug to the linux
kernel and it sounds like a DRM bug.

Please run apport-collect 868173 before, during and after the striped
screen. That will attach the relevant log files to this report.

[Bug 868173] Re: Zebra screen after unplugging external monitor

2011-10-13 Thread Sergey Slizovskiy
Comments:
First report is with external monitor.
Second one is when I unplug it and see the black (this time) screen. (report
is sent in a blind mode)
Third report is after I plugged and unplugged again -- it is without external
monitor and laptop monitor works.

To reproduce the unplugging bug I have to put the computer to sleep.

[Bug 868173] Re: Zebra screen after unplugging external monitor

2011-10-13 Thread Joseph Salisbury
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? It
will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the release
candidate kernel versus the daily build. Once you've tested the
upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This
can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag
located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-
upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
