Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.3 kernel[1] (Not a kernel in the daily directory). The orignially attached files are from a session where the system had been booted without AC or a network cable plugged in, and so eth0 wasn't functional. The files I'm attaching here are from my current, working session. I should probably also say, just for completeness, that the network card uses the sky2 module.
