I can confirm that now with Ubuntu 7.10 (OO 2.3) gradients without transparency do render correctly, but those with transparency seem not to render at all. Also objects using images as texture that have transparency do not render either. By do not render I of course mean in the slide-show display. Closer... The bug is related to a wrong combination of transparency and gradients. I discovered how to solve the problem on the fly and keep using gradients. Select the shape and edit the Area properties (FORMAT-AREA). From the tab AREA select FILL as GRADIENT. From the tab GRADIENT set the properties that you prefer. From the tab TRANSPARENCY make sure that the NO TRANSPARENCY radio button is selected (is this that should create problems!!) Press OK. Thanks... Hmmm, does not work for me, gradients without transparency still don't render properly. If you look at my original test file: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/7715635/test.odp you'll see that the purple and yellow box has no transparency and still does not render correctly. Also I did a quick test with the orange and yellow gradient, which gets inverted on slideshow. Thanks for the effort! .b.
