[Bug 95228] Re: Typing cd /t then pressing Tab in eshell causes an annoying popup
Phil, I didn't try it with emacs -q. But your guess was right. I have ido-mode, iswitchb-mode, and ffap-bindings all enabled. (I really should rsync my .emacs file onto my website, or at least I should attach it here. Unfortunately my laptop has no Internet connectivity ATM.) -- Typing cd /t then pressing Tab in eshell causes an annoying popup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 95228] Re: Typing cd /t then pressing Tab in eshell causes an annoying popup
Jason, do you remember if you were able to reproduce this under emacs -Q? I cannot reproduce it (the annoying popup) under emacs -Q, but I *am* getting it if my .emacs contains either (partial-completion-mode) or (require 'ido). This is on Gutsy, x86, emacs-snapshot 20070529. Tramp probably thinks that the "t" in "/t" is the beginning of the tramp method "telnet". Under the configurations that cause the popup to appear, file completion (e.g. in find-file) lists both "/telnet:" and "/tmp/" as completions for "/t". -- Typing cd /t then pressing Tab in eshell causes an annoying popup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 95228] Re: Typing cd /t then pressing Tab in eshell causes an annoying popup
Sorry, but "works for you" neither means that this issue has been fixed nor that it is invalid. Obviously, we can mark it "fix released" / "fix committed" if it is. Why do you think this is invalid (if you cannot reproduce it, shouldn't you mark / leave it "incomplete")? -- Typing cd /t then pressing Tab in eshell causes an annoying popup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
