This is all I see in the syslog file during the time just after pairing. The Stopping discovery entry occurred before the system seemed to even detect the phone settings. I just downloaded the daily build of quantal made this morning. The first few times I tried to add the blackberry bluetooth device it never generated a pin. I tried using a manual pin. It finally paired with the phone correctly using manual pin. It did launch the DUN wizard for selecting carrier. It added the blackberry connection to the network manager. But still the same as before. Clicking on the blackberry connection it just says configuring interface. And fails to connect. Any further attempts to add the blackberry again fail to launch the DUN wizard and still requires use of a manual pin. Confirming that this is still broken. One of the reasons the bug didn't receive much attention is that the number of reports open against network-manager is far too large. The number was recently threatening to go over 1000. Another reason is that not everyone connects to the Internet via a Bluetooth-tethered phone. Another reason is that bugs filed in Launchpad are not sent upstream. Which is not to say that this bug isn't important.
