Re: [Bug 381333] Re: when WRITE program is selected during auto save, the text highlight does not work.
This appears to be a suite wide problem. Yesterday I went from WRITE to CALC to paste my word and add my word incidence count and clicked on the app while CALC was saving. In that case I got no cursor and no recognition of my actions, ie I could type but no words were visible in the cell or the entry bar by the menus. I could paste and nothing showed. The only indication that I was there was that the color changed on the row column labels. Tab moved me to the next col, return to the next row but no content showed. I could left click and drag to select cells but they did not change color (though the col/row labels changed color) finally I gave up and went to shut it down. When I did that I accidentally hit the color bar at the top and dragged the window. With the drag, the window refreshed and all the changes became visible and the program returned to my control without restarting. total serendipity good luck. Re: [Bug 381333] Re: when WRITE program is selected during auto save, the text highlight does not work.
I finally had the same situation with the 3.0 software fresh off the press. The bug still exists. If the program window is selected while the auto-backup is in progress. The select/drag release aspect of the left mouse button does not cause the background of the displayed text to change color. (the text is selected however, and can be copied and pasted) In my case, I selected it and then hit ctrl+C to copy and cntrl+B** to search, the non indicated but selected material appeared in the search window and when I moved down to the replace with line and pasted, the clipboard contents were the same. ** I filed a separate error report: The default keyboard shortcut table for the Spanish interface is wrong. Search is triggered by F for find as in English instead of B for Buscar as is claimed in the note on the dropdown menu, and B gives bold as well as N giving Negreta. I just went to the shortcut list and fixed my copy, but the default list should be corrected. Thanks and good luck.
