[Bug 850728] [NEW] g-p-m/indicator-power: mixes up first and second batteries
Public bug reported: This is a ThinkPad X61 Tablet. To reproduce: 1. Boot with both batteries inserted (main battery, and docking battery) 2. Plug in AC power 3. Remove docking battery 4. Remove main battery 5. Re-plug docking battery Result: Indicator-power only shows one battery, but with the time-to-charge predictions from the other battery. [Bug 850725] [NEW] Feature Freeze Exception for LP:770906
Public bug reported: The bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/oneiric/+source/ihu/+bug/770906 is a FTBFS bug for oneiric. Since Debian released a new version of ihu, I felt it would make sense to try the new release and see whether it fixes the bug. Since it persisted in the new Debian package, I fixed the bug in it and tested it in Ubuntu oneiric. The package should be included, since it does not introduce new features (see Debian changelog and main changelog) In order to have this package available in oneiric, it needs this patch to build. This is why there should be an exception in the Feature Freeze. ** Affects: ihu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/850725 Title: Feature Freeze Exception for LP:770906 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ihu/+bug/850725/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 850391] Re: Grub keyboard default to us after update
By the way, there was a problem in Alpha 2 installation which couldn't set a combination of language/keyboard that wasn't expected. Like English language (locale) with a Swedish or German keyboard. This was resolved with Alpha 3 (alpha 1 was working as well). After I did a full update (I did not reinstall the system), the problem got back. I'm not sure if this will still be valid after I do login into the system, since I can't enter the encryption password. I did boot with the alpha 3 DVD and could mount the encrypted disc but I've no idea where to try to look for a fix since /etc/default/keyboard is correctly set. At boot time, I did edit grub configuration to add: set lang=sv_SE but I still get the american keyboard. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/850391 Title: Grub keyboard default to us after update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/console-setup/+bug/850391/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 850749] [NEW] Display unreadable after dimming
Public bug reported: Once my laptop screen is dimmed I can not read it any more. Dimming happens even when dim is not selected in the screen settings. It also happens before logging in. There is nothing I can do to un-dim the screen (i.e. moving the mouse, keyboard, but also using the contrast/brightness keys). When the screen is not dimmed, it is possible to adjust brightness etc using the contrast/brightness keys. If the laptop is suspended/resumed the screen will be back to normal until it decides to dim the screen again. This is reproducible and can be repeated as many times as necessary. [Bug 850751] [NEW] Intel hda sound card unavailable right after boot on mac mini
Public bug reported: The embedded HDA Intel sound card on Mac Mini is not always available when the boot sequence enters rc.local: attempts to access the device there (e.g. via aplay) often fail. My current workaround is to wait for the PCM devices (/proc/asound/card0/pcm0p, /proc/asound/card0/pcm0c) in a check-sleep-check loop before launching the aplay command. The card always comes up in the end, so it looks like the card driver needs just a little more time to properly complete initialization.
