[Bug 937522] Re: rdp clipboard sync doesn't work anymore.
Damir Butmir: This may be a problem on the Windows machine itself. There are 2 things to try. First, put something in the clipboard by ctrl-c ing any random text on your local Linux machine before trying to copy from the XP box. If this works, then I agree, its' still a bug in Remmina, even if the dev says it's normal behavior. Second, the XP remote clipboard in Windows may be hung. I have found this to be a problem NOT exclusive to RDP in Linux. It is also reported as a long standing problem in all Windows OS's when running RDP. Once you have the remote session open, run the Windows task manager (right click the task bar and select task manager) and look for the process rdpclip.exe. End task on this process and then at the top of the task manager window, click on File New Task (Run) and enter rdpclip.exe in the dialog box and run it. Now try your clipboard and see if it is working. If that fixes it for you, then it's a Windows problem. I have created a small batch file that I leave on the Windows desktop that I can click on to quickly end and restart the rdpclip.exe. Place the following in a file called clipboard.bat Taskkill.exe /im rdpclip.exe Rdpclip.exe I actually got this info from a Windows discussion site where many people who only run Windows were having the same problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/937522 Title: rdp clipboard sync doesn't work anymore. [Bug 794835] Re: Wishlist: Alt-F2 integration with Bash/readline/.bash_history
And it should place a highlight on the first of possibly many altertatives and let me launch it by pressing enter. For example, I should be able to launch google-chrome by simply typing gooEnter, even though there is google-earth further down the list. Also, I should be able to move selection using arrows. It is very annoying to have to switch from keyboard to mose interaction just to launch an app. The readline functionality was there just recently; where did it go? I think the history should be a simple hash, rather that a list, and it should be unlimited. I can't remember a single day during the entire history of bash (or tcsh) history when I needed to know the order of my commands. I only needed to recall and edit them. So I don't think it will be good to link it to bash history, as it is. [Bug 1009855] Re: 1814:0601 Linksys WMP600n stop working in a few minutes
I'm also experiencing this issue with the WMP600N. It's too bad that these bug reports keep expiring! To add to the info, the WMP600N does seem to work as long as I reconnect. I have a dual band router, so as soon as it drops I just choose the other band's SSID. [Bug 1010441] Re: PUT plugin can't move window to next monitor when placed with CTRL ALT NUMLOCK
I think it's important to note that the problem occurs with latest compiz versions 1:0.9.7.8-ubuntu1.4 (precise-proposed) and 1:0.9.7.8-ubuntu1.2 (precise-updates). It does not, however, occur with version 1:0.9.7.8-0ubuntu-1vvpreproposed2 (precise). The whole PUT and GRID plugins are misbehaving. I can't move a window from one monitor to the other, much less from one desktop to the other. Just as a side note: the preproposed package of compiz delivers very much less issues as the proposed does. The only gain I experienced so far from proposed package is less cpu usage than preproposed. And I'm suffering the blank window regression bug from both packages. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1010441 Title: PUT plugin can't move window to next monitor when placed with CTRL ALT NUMLOCK To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1010441/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1037120] [NEW] [HP Pavilion dv6z Notebook PC, IDT 92HD81B1X5, Black Headphone Out, Front] volume slider problem
Public bug reported: Volume seems to work fine on the built-in laptop speakers (4 of them). When headphones are plugged in (two stereo headphone outputs), volume cuts to zero once the 16% level is reached in Master channel (as seen in alsamixer). I suspect that the headphones are not properly detected/setup, because I have no analog headphones profile to choose in pavu/sound settings, as I heard some other people have. This seems to be similar to the issue described at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1850159 (different hardware, but a similar two headphone plugs hardware), and partially with the issue described in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/429844 The solutions presented (ignore_dB=1, channel=PCM etc.,) didn't work. Laptop has bluetooth device Atheros AR3012 which isn't working properly with any of the Precise kernels available. Device VID/PID is 0930:0219. The simptoms are different but there are few that are constant. a) device is recognized and enabled but the search isn't working (laptop can't find any other bluetooth device and other devices can't find laptop). Bluetooth visibility is turned on but regardles search isn't working, i.e. hcitool scan just finishes and doesn't print anything. b) sometimes the device isn't enabled after boot and it isn't listed in lsusb output, therefor hci0 isn't existing and in this case bluetooth doesn't work at all. When the device is recognized and enabled if I shutdown my laptop then after a new start device isn't recognized at all and it isn't listed in lsusb output. Also if bluetooth device is enabled and if I hibernate/suspend my laptop after wake-up form hibernate/suspend device isn't present anymore and it isn't listed in lsusb. In situations when my device isn't enabled I noticed that rebooting in windows helps. Every time when the device isn't enabled if I reboot in Windows 7 and then boot again to Ubuntu the device will be enabled and working properly but as long as I reboot or shutdown Ubuntu and start Ubuntu againg the device isn't working properly. I'm willing to help debuging this further and help to resolve this issue. I'm reporting this bug to linux package because when I was investigating this problem on google I noticed that it is related to btusb and ath3k modules. If this isn't true please point where to submit this bug. [Bug 1037134] [NEW] Variable wait when going out of suspend using xfce/xubuntu
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS xfce/xubuntu What happened is for a long time I had an issue that when I want to work on always on computer and I want to get the screen, the screen would be black with one line on top (with time) somewhat available and mouse would be working but nothing else. The time of the wait would depend how long I didn't use the machine. If I login for another machine and do top I would see that CPU is being used to process something graphical. I was able to fix the bug when playing with screen saver controls. Even though I was running xfce/xubuntu gnome screen saver was active and making problems and ubuntu offer to kill gnome screen saver which I accepted. I might get the same issue if I restart the machine but the problem is hopefully fixed now for me I just wanted to share the knowledge. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1037134 Title: Variable wait when going out of suspend using xfce/xubuntu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1037134/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
