Yesterday I updated my pc then this issue arised. When the VGA monitor is connected it can works only in Intel mode, switching to GPU Nvidia lead the problems that the others have reported above. [Bug 1396919] Re: unity8 display blank in emulator, host utopic, rtm-14.09 instance.
Hey, I just tried this on vivid, and seems to work fine. On first boot it does take a while to complete, but it does start. There is a bug where the dash starts a little too early and unity8 misses it, that you can fix by SSHing into the emulator and going restart unity8-dash. ** Changed in: unity8 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1396919 Title: unity8 display blank in emulator, host utopic, rtm-14.09 instance. [Bug 759772] Re: grub2: btrfs: does not install core.img to boot block
I believe the primary use case would be when you wish to target the volume (i.e. grub-install /dev/sda1). If the concern is size, this has been officially resolved with Boot Area B's specifications. https://www.mail-archive.com/linux-btrfs@vger.kernel.org/msg34016.html We do leave the first 1MB of each device alone. Can we do 256K-1024K for the boot loader? We don't have an immediate need for the extra space, but I'd like to reserve a little more than the extra 64KB. With a small loader in Boot Area A and the primary payload in Boot Area B, this should alleviate most size constraints. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/759772 Title: grub2: btrfs: does not install core.img to boot block To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/759772/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1396979] [NEW] APM Mustang board kernel crashes when running Ceph
Public bug reported: Hi, We've been running Ceph on 4 APM Mustang boards within Linaro, running stock Ubuntu Utopic (problem occurs with Trusty too). Essentially when I place the network under heavy load (by writing data to a Ceph filesystem backed by 3xOSDs), I experience kernel crashes. I've harvested a few backtraces from the serial port and will paste them below as separate comments. I think the problem lies in the xgene driver, but I don't know enough to resolve where this problem is happening. Cheers, -- Steve ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1396979 Title: APM Mustang board kernel crashes when running Ceph To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1396979/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1024475] Re: libnss-ldap causes boot hang on Ubuntu 12.04 Precise
I ran into this issue today and I'm very surprised this issue is that old. This bug makes Ubuntu as an LDAP client unusable. #17 did help for faster booting of the machine, but that's it. Any command is still so slow, the machine is useless. #2 tried it like this: - Adapted init script /etc/init.d/libnss-ldap like mentioned - created /etc/nsswitch.conf.local which does NOT contain ldap - created /etc/nsswitch.conf.ldap which does contain ldap This again works for a very fast boot, but once libnss-ldap is started (and therefore the ldap version of nsswitch.conf becomes active), the system is bloody slow again. #1 works to regain a normal system with local logins but ldap logins still time out. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1024475 Title: libnss-ldap causes boot hang on Ubuntu 12.04 Precise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libnss-ldap/+bug/1024475/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1397007] [NEW] Cursor changes to cross after dragging text in gitg
Public bug reported: How to reproduce: 1. Open any git repository in gitg. 2. Open Commit tab 3. Select some file in Unstaged section 4. Select some text in Changes field using the mouse (by the way, the selection background is the same as other text, so it's impossible to notice what's selected). 5. Drag this text by some pixels with mouse and drop it. What I expect to happen: Nothing. Gitg just exits drag mode. What happens: Default system cursor is changed to cross (with diagonal lines, see screenshot). It remains cross till reboot. This is rather annoying because I see cross cursor in all applications. The only workaround I discovered is reboot. I'm using Xubuntu 14.04. I've tried installing a clean Xubuntu in virtual machine, and the bug is reproducable. [Bug 1397008] [NEW] location-service needs to provide an Autopilot helper for apps to disable the prompt
Public bug reported: Some apps that use the location service prompt for the user to accept the permission. This often interferes with testing so we need to provide a way for apps to disable or automatically accept this prompt so that they can run tests unimpeded. An example solution was already done in Clock by setting the property custom.location.testing to True and restarting the location service: https://code.launchpad.net/~brendan- donegan/ubuntu-clock-app/disable_location_prompt/+merge/242682, although any solution which either disables or automatically accepts the prompt would be accepted. Bonus points for allowing it to be rejected as well. ** Affects: trust-store (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1397008 Title: location-service needs to provide an Autopilot helper for apps to disable the prompt To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/trust-store/+bug/1397008/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
