[Bug 1710672] Re: New release 9.11.2
Hello, thanks for filing this bug in Ubuntu. Bind9 is a package we try to keep as close as possible to Debian's version, which is currently in the 9.10.3 P4 series. There is a merge proposal (https://code.launchpad.net/~ahasenack/ubuntu/+source/bind9/+git/bind9/+merge/328944) upgrading Artful's package to 1:9.10.3.dfsg.P4-12.5ubuntu1. Unless there is a strong reason to break that parity, we will upgrade bind9 as soon as Debian does it, keeping in mind the feature freeze date for the current development version of Ubuntu. For Artful, that's August 24th, 2017. ** Changed in: bind9 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: bind9 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to bind9 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1710672 Title: New release 9.11.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bind9/+bug/1710672/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1698454] Re: TCP/IP Throughput Limitation
In light of my previous findings I did a dual boot install with 15.10 and 16.04. I put both installs on 4.3.6 mainline kernel and found that 15 was fine and 16 was not. I started looking at installed packages and tried to isolate some packages. After uninstalling several and rebooting I found that my performance went back up to normal. Long story short I found that uninstalling libnuma1 (which also uninstalls irqbalance) solved the problem after a reboot. FYI simply killing the irqbalance task did not solve the problem. I haven't taken time to troubleshoot further but it's something with numa/interrupt processing that is taking too long or something. Reinstalling irqbalance/libnuma1 causes the problem again. This is a single Xeon CPU on a dual CPU board. ** Changed in: irqbalance (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1698454 Title: TCP/IP Throughput Limitation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/irqbalance/+bug/1698454/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1706474] Re: gdm3 nvidia modeset=1 is broken, external screens don't work
On the newer machine, the P50, I reinstalled 17.10 ubuntu yesterday, with pre-release packages enabled. It is using gdm3. It works, even with nvidia modeset=1 and external monitors. It is not obvious to me which updated packages have fixed this, since I also tried pre-release on the broken install. The conclusion is that I had something broken in my configuration. I uninstalled X and the desktop environment a few times, which didn't work. In pure Nvidia mode, not Optimus, I am offered a Wayland session, which seems to work (I only did a few minutes of testing). My broken install was an upgrade from 17.04. When 17.10 goes beta, I will install 17.04, fully update it, and test a migration to 17.10. If this doesn't work, I will seek help to track down which configuration settings could cause this. It is certainly encouraging that it works from a reinstall. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1706474 Title: gdm3 nvidia modeset=1 is broken, external screens don't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1706474/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1710941] Re: Bluetooth stopped working after update
Thanks Daniel. Rolling back to kernel 4.4.0-87-generic #110-Ubuntu SMP seemed to fix the problem. Upgrading to 4.4.0-91 also seemed to cause other problems: My system started overheating, eventually slowed to a crawl (i.e., over a matter of minutes after each reboot slowed to the point of being unresponsive), and I saw 4 instances (one for each core, I presume) of kidle_interrupt, which I had never seen before. I notice that 4.4.0-91 is no longer showing up as an update in the repos for 16.04. For what it's worth, I also downgraded libgd3 to version 2.1.1-4build2, as it also upgraded around the same time as my recent kernel updates (-87 and -89, but I don't think I ever rebooted into -89). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1710941 Title: Bluetooth stopped working after update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1710941/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1703440] Re: xenial fio 2.2.10 randwrite: "random" data NOT random, highly compressible -> highly misleading output
@fmyhr: After grovelling through the fio commits I've come across https://github.com/axboe/fio/commit/1e7f82e20c088e3f564ad24e37bb873b7ac37d3a which says old versions of fio had problems reaching compressability targets with large (above 64k) blocksizes which matches this launchpad bug's scenario where the block size is 512k. The said commit has a fix and is in fio 2.2.12 and later. Zesty has 2.16-1 so this (and many other issues) should be fixed from that Ubuntu release onwards. If you're using 16.04 then there have been no high-level bluetooth- related updates at all recently: bluez 5.37-0ubuntu5 ... 2016-03-09 pulseaudio 1:8.0-0ubuntu3.3 ... 2017-06-30 So if your system was working for the previous month or more then the problem is not caused by bluez or pulseaudio at least. You might want to assign it to "linux (Ubuntu)" in case it was caused by a recent kernel update like: linux 4.4.0-91.114 ... 2017-08-07 which sounds more likely by the date. ** Changed in: bluez (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1710941 Title: Bluetooth stopped working after update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1710941/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1711011] Re: fsck.jfs missing from initramfs

[Bug 1658345] Re: Touchpad not recognized on Lenovo Ideapad Flex 4 running Ubuntu 16.10
apport information ** Description changed: I installed Ubuntu 16.10 on my Lenovo Ideapad Flex 4 laptop. Ubuntu does not recognize the touchpad (it does recognize the touch screen nicely though). When I run xinput -list, I do not see the touchpad. I dual boot with Windows 10, which recognizes the touchpad from Elantech. I searched online for days and I found Elantech drivers for Ubuntu 14.04, however, I was unable to load older versions of Ubuntu on my laptop. Do you expect to support the Elantech touchpad in future updates? I attached a screen shot of my xinput -list output. Please let me know if you require any additional information.
