[Bug 540360] Re: [Freeze Exception] Over quota notification missing from ubuntuone-preferences
The linked branch adds these overquota notifications, as well as adding an 'account type' label and two or three link buttons to the account tab. Hopefully this is OK within the scope of this bug, especially given that no screenshots exist for this at this time. ** Branch linked: lp:~chipaca/ubuntuone-client/some-account-tab-fixes ** Changed in: ubuntuone-client Status: Triaged = In Progress -- [Freeze Exception] Over quota notification missing from ubuntuone-preferences https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/540360 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 539676] Re: [Freeze Exception] Add instructional text to Ubuntu One Preferences application
I'm not sure the term 'instructional text' is correct. The linked wiki page shows both the devices and services tab with a small descriptive text, such as what the devices tab shows now. The devices tab's text should be slightly different, and the services tab needs to have that label too. I'm not sure the omission of such a text on the accounts tab is correct (will check up with the appropriate people, but it doesn't change the essence of this issue). -- [Freeze Exception] Add instructional text to Ubuntu One Preferences application https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/539676 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 525803] Re: Feature freeze exception: ubuntuone-client SSO integration
Reopening because we'd agreed with Rick Spencer that we'd piggyback the other remaining controlpanel work on this. So SSO won't be making it in, but the devices tab and the services tab of the control panel definitely are going in. ** Changed in: ubuntuone-client (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- Feature freeze exception: ubuntuone-client devices and services tabs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/525803 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 525803] Re: Feature freeze exception: ubuntuone-client devices and services tabs
The 'devices tab' work is what is in lp:~chipaca/ubuntuone-client /devices-tab; it's been in the beta ppa for a few days. The 'services tab', lp:~dobey/ubuntuone-client/services-enablement is currently WIP, but is rather simple: it's tying what's already available via dbus up with the already written ui. So it's basically just the glue (plus some minor changes to the ui, but essentially that). -- Feature freeze exception: ubuntuone-client devices and services tabs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/525803 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 525803] Re: Feature freeze exception: ubuntuone-client devices and services tabs
Following up after talking on IRC: The 'devices' tab needs to get in because without it there is no graphical way to connect/disconnect/restart the syncdaemon, and no way of removing devices from your account (if, say, a device is stolen). The 'services' tab work consists of making the already existing UI work (both in the it reacts to user input and in the it calls out to the backend and actually does stuff senses), and adding a checkbox for turning off synchronizing of gwibber (because it's a bit of a bandwidth hog and doesn't really add much value to most users). -- Feature freeze exception: ubuntuone-client devices and services tabs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/525803 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 612988] Re: [nautilus] shows ubuntu-one ribbon in each folder
Ok, several issues I need to expand a little on, here. The current nautilus extension has no way of adding things to the nautilus toolbar, nor to the view menu; we're limited to emblems, property pages, context menu entries and sub-entries, and the ribbon. The current ribbon uses up a lot less vertical space than when this bug was opened. It can be further collapsed, and the collapsed state is preserved. It can be disabled completely via the context menu (we need to find a way to have nautilus redisplay the window so the ribbon goes away instantly, but that's another issue). The current ribbon only shows up in some folders: in folders that are already synchronizing, and in the toplevel special directories (Music, Videos, Documents, etc). The current ribbon, and the extension as a whole, does not even start up if the user has disabled file syncing. There is a bug, bug #613219, that the nautilus extension will start syncdaemon even if it is has been removed from the startup applications. We'll be fixing that one. When the user clicks the checkbox with syncdaemon connected (the usual case), there is a short delay (less than a second as measured from this hotel's slow network in argentina) and then they can click the checkbox again and the sync is aborted. syncdaemon works for a little longer to cancel all the jobs it fired off, but the system remains responsive. There are corner cases such as folders with a huge (50k+) amount of files where the delay is longer; if syncdaemon is disconnected, the delay is longer while it connects and etc, but it definitely becomes responsive again as soon as it's connected and before the upload starts. -- [nautilus] shows ubuntu-one ribbon in each folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/612988 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1068028] Re: Unity Dash displays adult rated content from Amazon by Default
The problem with that result is that it's classified as 18, not as R18; if we filter 18s we also wouldn't be showing, say, Game of Thrones, or a bunch of other films that most people would not want to not be shown. In a later revision we should be able to give you the option of specifying which ratings you want, for example, but not yet. [Bug 720707] Re: Bandwidth limit is not correctly enforced: Transmission delays are inserted between data chunk writes (of arbitrary sizes)
An update for those of you following along at home: a modified version of this patch is being real-life tested right now; we then need to change it slightly to get it ready for 12.04, at which point we'll SRU it to that, and 12.10, and 13.04. If time permits the symmetric patch will also be done, to make download rate limiting effective, but I don't want to delay the upload fix (and testing the download fix is slightly harder).
