[Bug 936560] Re: unity-2d-shell crashed with SIGSEGV
Albert, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-2d/+bug/967164 is the one I generated. [Bug 936560] Re: unity-2d-shell crashed with SIGSEGV
Albert Astals Cid, I installed halfe an hour ago the staging ppa - and just finished the test, we did via IRC, this time with the files from staging ppa, like unity-2d: Installiert: 5.8.0+bzr1019ubuntu0+inline. Shell I run again the GNU debugger - and pastebin the backtraces, or don't you need them? How to provoke this bug This bug comes up, when you have network hickups. To provoke it, watch youtube or anything else - and when you have a hickup, so youtube is waiting for datas, while one is also trying to access the net, you provoke this bug. The bug might be easier to trigger on slow internet connections. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/879504 Title: oneconf-service crashed with gaierror in connect(): [Errno -2] Name or service not known To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/piston-mini-client/+bug/879504/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 746603] Re: empathy crashed with SIGABRT in raise()
1) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - just after a fresh installation and with all the newest updates 2) empathy: Installiert: 3.3.92-0ubuntu3 unity-2d: Installiert: 5.8.0-0ubuntu1 3) You just start a new Unity 2D session. 4) Within two minutes after the start, you have this bugreport coming up. How to get this bug Before this bug is triggered, you have first to logout from a Unity 2D session - and then start a new one from LightDM. Now within 2 minutes, you normally should get this bug and send here. Condition: In the old session, you had empathy running, while in the new session you yet didn't start it. [Bug 838812] Re: rhythmbox-metadata crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_value()
ubuntu beta2 is the most unstable lts release I ever tested. For the last 2 hours I reported crashs in compiz, in unity, in unity 2d, in banshee and now in rhythmbox, then arista transcoder does output 0byte files, vmwareplayer does not install and hundreds of small issues all over the place. My oh my .. a beta2 should not have so many and such severe bugs that no music app will work and that the desktop crashes for no reasons .. the release will be a disaster. In one months this can't be fixed all. 10.0.4 was so good. I hate to say this but everything ubuntu did after this is a epic failure. I so hoped for 1204 being a LTS that it will work. I do not see that and I do not see it for April 26th either. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/838812 Title: rhythmbox-metadata crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_value() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/rhythmbox/+bug/838812/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 946674] Re: unity-greeter crashed with SIGSEGV in background_loader_ready_cb()
1) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Beta 2 (nightly build) 2) unity-greeter: Installiert: 0.2.6-0ubuntu1 This bug occures occasionally when logging out from a sessioin - where NO encfs encrypted directory is used. Somehow it's not possible for the greeter to access/acknowledge the wallpaper of the user and crashes. The greeter crashes ENDLESSLY, until you are quick enough, to press the up-/down arrow on the keyboard and switch to the guest session. If you restart the pc - in the hope, the bug will be gone after restart, you land on the same user after the restart - and the greeter goes on crashing, so restarting the pc is no solution. Because you access the users setting from the user directory (I know you do it, because encfs let's you not acknowledge the users wallpaper - and change it in the greeter) - and the fact, that this bug crashes the greeter, you might have a possible security vulnerabillity. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/946674 Title: unity-greeter crashed with SIGSEGV in background_loader_ready_cb() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-greeter/+bug/946674/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 972015] [NEW] The keyboard shortcut overview isn't displayed on 1024x600 resolution or lower
Public bug reported: 1) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 2) unity: Installiert: 5.8.0-0ubuntu2 3) Pressing the super key, an image shoul be rendered on the empty desktop, showing all the unity shortcuts 4) Today, when I installed my 2nd pc, I saw, that there still is the keyboard shortcut overview on a 1366x768 display. That was never ever displayed on my 1024x600 resolution display. The last bug that occured was a killer, and the install media of Precise Pangolin from yesterday had a kernel lockup on my Eee PC, so I could only install Oneiric Ocelot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/953089 Title: Lots of regressions after update to Unity 5.6 like not working super key or alt key functionality To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/953089/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 953089] Re: Lots of regressions after update to Unity 5.6 like not working super key or alt key functionality
I wiped my disk, installed first Oneiric Ocelot and updated Oneiric Ocelot up to the actual package versions from today, all was working well, After that, I just installed via the update-manager -d command to the most actual version of Precise Pangolin. [Bug 953089] Re: Unity 5.6: Super key doesn't start the dash
You describe a different bug then the one I suffered from. For me, the keyboard functionality was completely lacking. When I logged into unity and only the desktop was loaded, I had this behaviour: Pressing super key: nothing, no dash came up Pressing alt key: nothing, no hud came up Pressing F10: nothing, no menu came up Pressing ctrl+alt+t: nothing, no terminal came up Pressing ctrl+alt+right: nothing, no switch to the right window Pressing on the launcher, I start any program. As soon, as it is loaded, all the keys are working. But now - pressing ctrl+alt+right - and so switching to an again empty desktop - that's it. On the blank desktop again, non of the keys didn't work. I already erased my disk - reinstalled again, first Oneiric Ocelot, applied all updates, after that I updated via update-manager -d to Precise Pangolin, applied all updates, logged first into Unity - and the same bug as before, means - blank desktop - and no controlling keys are working. The machine, that happens is a Asus Eee PC 1000H with 2 GB Ram. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/953089 Title: Unity 5.6: Super key doesn't start the dash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/953089/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 931967] Re: Corrupted graphics after the login until the unity launcher appears
Unity checks for bad PCI-IDs and graphics drivers every time ubuntu 12.x boots up. [Bug 367317] Re: unreliable Psi interface in Jaunty (qt incompability?)
I've done a little more debugging and found out, that the problems only occur if psi is configured with --disable-bundled-qca (which is the case in the ubuntu packages) and the package libqca2-plugin-gnupg is installed. After uninstalling the package my problems were gone. With knowing this I could recreate the bug on another system simply by installing libqca2-plugin-gnupg. [Bug 367317] Re: ibqca2-plugin-gnupg breaks psi
The same problem seems to be in the debian upstream package according to (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=525765). The author told me, that uninstall the gnupg support seems to help, but nevertheless sometimes his roster hangs for a small while. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #525765 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=525765 -- ibqca2-plugin-gnupg breaks psi https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367317 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 367317] Re: ibqca2-plugin-gnupg breaks psi
Does the git version work with the system lib qca as well? As I said the problem only occurs if you use not the bundled libqca and qca-gnupg. So either it's a bug in Psi 0.12 oder the libqca-gnupg. [Bug 480407] Re: [needs-packaging] pyxpcom
There's no reverse dependency because python-xpcom isn't packaged again yet (see #352968 for the previous removal of python-xpcom). Catch-22. See #459532 for an example of a package that requires python-xpcom. If you decide not to ship python-xpcom, you effectively make Sugar (the desktop / learning environment) unusable for the LTS as the web browser is used to download and install activities (applications) from activities.sugarlabs.org (the Sugar equivalent of addons.mozilla.org). Even more so since Ubuntu doesn't ship all of the most basic activities (e.g. Write is missing). #364871 has another example for a package (pyjamas-desktop) breaking (indirectly via hulahop) due to python-xpcom being unavailable. -- [needs-packaging] pyxpcom https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480407 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
