The 26th of Jan works for me as well. I was thinking more or starting with an informal "let's meet up and have a couple of beers" instead of a "session" with an agenda etc... We barely know each other at this point :) But of course if people are motivated to get an agenda going for the 26th of Jan, great! One thing we could do is join the "Ubuntu on air" webcast as a group, and say hi to other LoCos over video :) It's roughly every last friday of each month, so 26th of Jan looks like a winner. - Chris On Tue, Dec 12, 2017 at 7:15 PM, Daniel Stoniwrote: > > Hi all > > according to blacklisted january, 19th I suggest to aim for a session on > the 26th. location to be announced. > > this schedule would allow further people on the list to join in - and to > prepare a decent agenda. > > a 'content' placeholder for this may be prepared on the wiki page > mentioned before. or via list - as you prefer. > > kind regards, dani > > > > > Weitergeleitete Nachricht > Betreff: Re: [Ubuntu-ch] 18.04 release party, other meetups? > Datum: Tue, 12 Dec 2017 18:00:20 +0100 > Von: Silvan Jegen > An: Ubuntu Swiss Users > > Kopie (CC): Daniel Stoni > > Hi Daniel > > On 2017-12-12 15:28, Daniel Stoni wrote: > > +1 for the release party > > +1 for a personal meeting before / soon > > > > Any Friday in January suitable for everyone interested? > > Friday, the 19th of January would not be possible for me. Hello Chris +1 for the release party +1 for a personal meeting before / soon Any Friday in January suitable for everyone interested? dsto Am 12.12.2017 um 12:53 schrieb Christopher Glass: Hi list, I'd like to start thinking about organising a "release party" for 18.04 "Bionic Beaver" as it's the next LTS and is the next big date for Ubuntu. Hopefully that will allow us to meet again in person since it seems that doesn't happen very often anymore these days. I think more than 4 months should be enough to find something a majority agrees to. As a strawman, I suggest meeting somewhere in Bern (it's relatively central). Here's a wiki page for the event: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SwissTeam/ReleaseParty18.04 Feel free to contribute! If other people are interested, we could meet before that as well (a beer on a Friday or something would be nice). - Chris -- Ubuntu-ch mailing list Ubuntu-ch@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-ch

Re: [Ubuntu-ch] Ubuntu-CH membership as verfied locoteams will expire soon
Ah, I see we were granted a two months extension for our revalidation (I looked at the Loco Council logs). I'll try to attend the next session in person (well, on IRC) so at least someone from this list is there :) /me kicks another email thread for meetups On Tue, Dec 12, 2017 at 11:42 AM, WaVeRwrote: > Hi Christopher, Hi all, > > > > > Le lundi 11 décembre 2017 à 21:07 +0100, Christopher Glass a écrit : >> I care, still. >> >> If nobody else does, I volunteer as point of contact. > > We started the revalidation procedure with Daniel's (dsto) help. > >> >> I'd like to meet up with people again like we once did, so as a straw >> man suggestion I propose we start thinking about a 18.04 release >> party in a central location (Bern or Zurich). >> >> - Chris / Tribaal > > > I would like too, maybe we should create a wiki page for that and a new > email thread. > > > Best regards, > > --- > Hassan > > -- > Ubuntu-ch mailing list > Ubuntu-ch@lists.ubuntu.com > https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-ch -- Ubuntu-ch mailing list Ubuntu-ch@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-ch
