Testing in Ubuntu

2011-11-07 Thread Evan Dandrea
For those of you who didn't make it to the Testing in Ubuntu evening
event at UDS, I've set up a team and mailing list to share knowledge
around automated testing best practices and tools:

Evan is modeling this event after Pycon's testing BOF, which if you haven't
ever attended, is *highly* recommended. It's done at night, with pizzas and
libations, lots of raucous enthusiasm, good natured ribbing, and goats. It's
a wonderful mix of technical goodness and social entertainment. Get there
early 'cause it's SRO.

2011-10-04 Thread Rick Spencer

Brad,

I'm not opposed to having it in the evening or during the day. However,
I think the idea of having it in the evening was that it would not
conflict with other sessions, so then more people could attend. Also,
with some pizza and beer it could double as a social event.

If folks think having it during the day is a better idea, and in fact
want other BoFs, I am sure we can accommodate that.

Cheers, Rick

We're looking for volunteers to give 5 minute lightning talks on cool
things they've come across, created, or big ideas they have, as they
relate to automated testing. It doesn't have to be Ubuntu-specific,
but please pick a topic that would be helpful to those developing

Even,

I think this is a great idea. However, I'd like to see it done during
the day. I think testing is important enough it shouldn't be relegated
to an after hours event.

Personally, I'd like to see more BoFs at UDS.
