Thank you for the patch! I presume you want this in a stable release update? Can you specify which release and version this should apply against exactly? Please could you help with https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#Procedure by filing a bug and then following the process? We can't "just" apply the patch, as we need to do due diligence to make sure we don't regress users. Full details and rationale from the top of that page. xenial package 'slurm-llnl' needs an update.
Please apply the below patch to the slurm-llnl/slurm-wlm src and update the version. (It actually affects the package 'slurmdbd'). https://github.com/SchedMD/slurm/commit/cca1616b1a1aef9fe049e326a8936d006963b21b Without the above patch one is unable to use the provided version of MySQL 5.7.4. Details: https://bugs.schedmd.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3430 Honestly, I would love the latest stable version (17.02.6) but I assume I will have to talk to Debian for that. :) -- Phil Kauffman Systems Admin Dept. of Computer Science University of Chicago kauff...@cs.uchicago.edu -- Ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list Ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-devel-discuss

Many people could give their computer a boost by adding the resources of their laptop. This requires each application to be designed for parallelism because jobs must be split into smaller parts, sent over the network, and then sent back when completed. You cannot just have one process run on multiple machines. If your desktop overheats then that is a real issue with your system you would need to tackle first? librdkafka 0.9.5 Ubuntu Trusty
Hi, When trying to install librdkafka on ubuntu:trusty for version 0.9.5 (ref: https://packages.ubuntu.com/source/trusty/librdkafka), it is not possible to do so since trusty is still only showing 0.8.3 in the mirrors. Zesty has the latest ones but this should be available on other ubuntu releases. It is critical for a lot of the new confluent-kafka libraries in languages such as Go and Python to have the latest available (ref: https://github.com/edenhill/librdkafka/tree/v0.9.5) When would it be possible to update these to reflect the latest versions available? Thanks a lot.
