I lied. A last-minute bug found with the bcmwl dkms driver on the
lts-wily kernel led to one more respin. Those should be coming out
shortly for all flavours. This is pretty much guaranteed to be the
last one, as we're about out of time, so please give them at least
light smoketesting to make sure they boot/etc.

I don't find server software license information.
Is it a tool* or is it a service?

"Teams who put robots on Mars" use free software (FLOSS).

(*) Ubuntu's package "slack" is not related to slack.com

Slack

2016-02-17 Thread Ali/amjjawad
Hi,

I've been thinking about this for sometime now. I think I'll give it a try
and ask you to read this email carefully, think about it wisely and then
tell me what do you think:

https://slack.com/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ivn5jfKE_5M

DO NOT hit reply without checking the above links, please :)

Before this moment, I was defending Launchpad and Ubuntu Mailing Lists
blindly and extremely. However, after using Slack for 30 mins, you'll
understand why I am suggesting it, NOT to replace anything but an added
platform for better communications and less headache.

I've been using it for 5-6 months now and it's beyond amazing!

Don't be strict like I used to be. The world is changing and we always need
to re-consider our options, right?

Slack is really powerful and very useful platform :)

I've just kicked off a world image respin that should come out as
20160217 for everyone. This includes a few security updates, two
last-minute stability updates, and the correct 14.04.4 versioning.

Kindly test and share your results or report bugs if any:
http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/356/builds

Given the testing on the last couple of images, I think it's fair
to say this is almost definitely the batch we'll be releasing on
Thursday, so please give them at least a boot/install/reboot smoke
test on all flavours and make sure all the images are functional.

Thanks in advance,

... Adam

Fwd: Why Immutable Page?

2016-02-17 Thread Ali/amjjawad
FYI
Not only that page, other pages, even my wiki:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad have been marked as immutable.

Hi,

I noticed that I did a mistake by adding the release notes in the wrong
column so I was trying to correct that, I noticed this page:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XenialXerus/Beta1

is marked as: Immutable Page?

May I ask why is that?!

Thank you :)
