[Bug 1070201] [NEW] compiz crashed while xbmc [unredirected fullscreen window] was running and notify-osd poped up.
Public bug reported: I was in xbmc while notify-osd poped up. The windows where flickering and compiz/unity was not running any more. [Bug 1066228] Re: 8086:0162 After updates quantal doesn't boot into graphics mode on my ivybridge system
I build up my new system and thought it would be a good idea to install ubuntu 12.10 beta1. In general it was booting up to lightdm. Sometimes I had a GPU-hung directly after login. I rebooted the system and everything was working again. But after – lets call it final update – that was around linux kernel 3.5.0-17-generic, the xserver somtimes doesn't boot up. So in the end it never worked properly with an ubuntu kernel. In the mean time I tried kernel 3.5.0-18-generic from the proposed update. That also doesn't work properly. The question for me is, what is so special about the ubuntu kernel, that it behaves so different in comparison to the kernels from mainline ppa. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1066228 Title: 8086:0162 After updates quantal doesn't boot into graphics mode on my ivybridge system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1066228/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

As digikam at the moment stores it's high quality icons only in the oxygen icon theme, unity and gnome will not find them by default. So please try: # Copy digikam icons from oxygen to the fallback hicolor theme. cd /usr/share/icons/oxygen sudo rsync -vR */apps/digikam.png ../hicolor If not found: sudo apt-get install oxygen-icon-theme try teh rsync again.
