Hi Rama
  I got your point and somewhat agree with you. Now ubuntu is
definitely becoming big. So it's likely that not everybody's changes will be
met. I agree with Shuttleworth remarks also when he say it's more about
meritocary than democracy. When a coampny become big it's likely to be
happen in any distro.
   Whar are the other distros you have tried , and which you
like please keep us posting abput that. I have tried fedora also but ubuntu
cleary more user friendly.

We can't reach for a conclusion like that. There are deifnitely  better
photo editors like photoshop. Perhaps what canonical is trying is to move
forward. I think energy should be used to port the best of software  to
ubuntu desktop in every catagory. Gimp is just used for photoediting which
is just a type of software.
  I mean whole debate about evoulution,
thunderbird  or any other software is debatable. What I care about is just I
can install ubuntu effortlessly and install those software which I like to
use in every catagory.
 One last point I would like to make is
that slimming down Ubuntu or bloating it should not depend on bandwidth.

   I have just install fedora along ubuntu 9.04. Now I can't see my booting
menu.
can anybody tell me that how should I update grub so that my booting menu
reappears.
