[Bug 554989] [NEW] Lucid - Go Home Applet cause X to restart - Reproducible
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: go-home-applet Might be some kind of obscure configuration bug. The netbook-launcher was not in the list to automatically start on login, so I added it manually in Startup Applications. After a restart, the netbook-launcher runs just fine. When I click the go-home-applet, my X server instantly crashes and sends me to the GDM screen. I am not running the Netbook Edition but the Desktop with the netbook launcher and go-home-applet installed via synaptic. I will wait for any requests for debugging information before I try the following! However I think if I delete the configuration files related to the netbook-launcher and the go-home-applet the issue will be resolved. Once I do so I will report my findings. The applet worked on the first use, but not after a reboot. What should have happened: Hiding all windows and showing the netbook-launcher. What happened instead: The X server crashed. [Bug 534894] Re: screen flickers in the bottom half of the screen at random
No, this is not a compiz issue. The screen flicked while running Metacity only. This happens when using the Lucid 2.9 version and the PPA 2.10 version. It also happens whether I use EXA or UXA. [Bug 541925] [NEW] Running lshw cause display glitches using xserver-xorg-video-intel
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel Using Lucid When I run 'sudo lshw -C display' the display immediately becomes garbled. The colors are incorrect and blurry, with many multicolor lines. This occurs using both the 2.9 driver in main and a 2.10 driver in a PPA. As a possibly related side note, Urban Terror fails to run on this version only. Ubuntu Karmic and Debian Sid both run, but on Lucid I am dropped to a console upon loading the main menu. [Bug 542343] [NEW] gnome-panel will not autostart on lucid
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel After the latest updates on Lucid, I rebooted. When logging in I found my gnome panel did not start, though Compiz and Nautilus did. [Bug 542360] [NEW] pulseaudio only lowers volume when below 15%
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio The pulseaudio volume control applet does not change the volume level at all (it remains loud) until the slider is around 15%. Then it will lower the sound in the four steps it takes to hit 0%, then it mutes just fine. It seems that the slider Master Front hits zero at around 15%, then the Front slider actually controls the volume. I can obtain more information, please tell me what you need. I expected the volume to become progressively quieter as the bar goes down, however it does not change until 15% as was said.
