Dear Folks, some time ahead I tried Cinelerra, but I could not fully do so. It was tough for me. can any body tell me how lightworks is different to Cinelerra, is it easier than that? any documentation available for lightworks other than at the official website. and somebody also tell me any presentation software (open source) available which can do advanced animations. I am developing some presentations where I require to insert some exercises to students like match the following and fill in the blanks, where students need to check there answers.are there any software to create such exercises in the form of presentations... Dear folks, I recently installed Kubuntu desktop packages in Ubuntu 10.04. I am unable to connect to internet using my Nokia C3 mobile phone. There was no problem in Ubuntu, Kubuntu network connections set up is somewhat different compared to Ubuntu. Dear Friends, Recently, I downloaded Ubuntu_11.04_beta2. But it is not upgrading 10.10. Do you anybody know how to upgrade to 11.04 from 10.10. I tried from terminal, Alt+F2, and mounting ISO as cdrom. But all efforts are in vain. [ubuntu-in] battery applet is missing
dear friends, my battery applet is missing in my laptop (Acer Aspire 4745), I was having hopes on 10.10, but I got disappointed. Previously I mean in Lucid my microphones (Gnome-Sound-Recorder) was not working, but it was cured with 10.10. as far as this battery applet is concerned, it is some thing related to configuration. My Kernel is unable to identify or get communicated with the hardware. why I am saying like this is I tried every thing from Gnome side setting but in vain. I even tried Switchroot kernel patch no use. can some hardware programerplease help me. Friends. I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 in my new laptop Acer Aspire 4745 with in Windows. GNOME-Sound Recorder is working, what I mean is I could not record voice, which is very much important for my profession. And also in top panel battery status applet is missing. Friends, I bought a new laptop called Acer Aspire 4745, with single partition. I recently installed Ubuntu Lucid, since I am fan of it. you know after installation my microphone and indicator-applets are not working. I installed two to three times but in vain. Regarding indicator applets everything is o key, but my battery monitoring applet is not working. When I change setting in Power Management, it appears but is responsive to power changes. I could not use Skype and other recordings since microphonbe is not working. Dear Ramnarayan, Thanks for replying me, 1) I installed Ubuntu 'Within Windows' (WUBI), because I have only one partition, and I got a genuine Windows. 2) battery icon is not visible, then I went to Power Management from system sub-menu, there I changed display option, the icon appears and not responsive to charging changes, 3) dear, I already tried alsamixer by bringing some changes, but with out use, can we do some thing with the help of gdm2 configuration settings... [ubuntu-in] problem with TATA Photon Whiz
Dear friends, recently I got a problem with TATA 3G device. I added it through Network_Manager, some times it connects and some times doesn't connect. But every time when delete from VPN connections (NMgr.) and add freshly it connects. I was using Huawei 3G Modem even in Ethiopia, with ETC connection, but it used to give me seamless connection I never suffered connection problem, except Lucid Modem issue (Which was solved after I installed Modswith software). dear friends, I am using Lucid Lynx, by updating Karmic. I am using both wired and 3G with any problem, but when comes to Wireless, I could not connect.
